WesCEF - Supporting communities

WesCEF proudly contributes to the communities in which it operates, funding support for grass roots initiatives with a focus on youth, environment and building long-term partnerships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander groups.

WesCEF continued to support science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education, and environmental initiatives in Kwinana and Rockingham including the Rockingham Regional Environment Centre.

Kleenheat partnered with the Kwinana STEM Network, helping local primary school teachers develop their understanding of the STEM curriculum, and continued its long-running community grants program for not-for-profit organisations in Western Australia and the Northern Territory in the areas of connected communities, education, health and wellbeing, environment, and cultural diversity.

Major state art and community events were also supported by Kleenheat, including the Perth Fringe Festival, the Perth Garden and Outdoor Living Festival and the Telethon Community Cinemas.

CSBP sponsored the Coastal Connections Challenge, a youth-led event that empowers participants to develop solutions to environmental issues affecting the coastal environment, as well as continuing its long-running community grants program, supporting various sporting and community clubs and organisations, throughout regional Western Australia.

CSBP also became a major funding partner of the Regional School Hockey program, and provided grants for a Nuffield scholar, the Country Women’s Association’s Centenary Book and roundtable sessions of the Regional Remote Network.

In line with WesCEF’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Engagement and Employment Strategy, WesCEF provided ongoing support to the Clontarf Foundation, supporting the Gilmore Clontarf Academy in Kwinana and provided funding for the Moorditj Koort Aboriginal Corporation to support the health and wellbeing of Indigenous people.

WesCEF will continue to explore strategically aligned partnerships and community investment prospects with the potential to generate long-term value in the key areas of STEM and the environment. It will also investigate new opportunities for partnerships that will positively impact outcomes for local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their communities.
