Officeworks has committed to repairing, repurposing or recycling 17,000 tonnes of unwanted products by 2025 with 11,880 tonnes being repaired or repurposed to date. 

Aligned with this goal, Officeworks and Stationery Aid trialled the collection of school stationery at its Upper Mount Gravatt store.

Stationery Aid sorts, cleans and refreshes used and unwanted school and education resources, filling booklists for disadvantaged students and reducing waste directed to landfill.

During the trial, 25.5kgs of stationery items were collected with 61 per cent successfully repaired for use.

In FY2025, Officeworks will expand this program to around 25 stores.
