We prioritise team wellbeing by fostering a safe, supportive, and fulfilling work environment
We are committed to a safe, healthy and fulfilling work environment for our team members. All divisions maintain occupational health and safety management systems, supported by risk identification, incident investigation, independent audits and targeted safety programs, including measures to reduce customer-threatening situations. Diverse teams give us access to the best available talent, and our focus on gender balance across the Group and in leadership roles, alongside maintaining Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employment parity with the broader Australian population, supports stronger performance and engagement.

Approach
We source responsibly and engage suppliers fairly to support ethical and sustainable practices
We engage fairly with more than 24,300 suppliers across more than 90 sourcing locations and work to source goods and services ethically and sustainably, strengthening supplier relationships, supporting workers in our supply chains and meeting customer expectations. The Wesfarmers Ethical Sourcing and Modern Slavery Policy sets the minimum standards expected across the Group, supported by supplier due diligence, third-party audits, worker grievance mechanisms and remediation. We continue to grow our engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander suppliers.

We partner with local, regional and national organisations that are well placed to deliver positive social outcomes, because communities that are connected and well supported are more resilient, inclusive and innovative. We anticipate the needs of our customers by delivering safe, reliable products and services and by protecting the information they entrust to us. Testing and quality checks across the product lifecycle, Group-level coordination on emerging product risks, and continued investment in privacy, cyber security and the responsible use of AI build customer trust and support business performance.

Taking care of the environment
The Wesfarmers Environment and Climate Policy guides how our divisions manage environmental risks and reduce emissions, strengthening the resilience of our businesses and opening new opportunities. Circular economy strategies that reduce waste, extend product lifecycles and improve packaging, together with a growing understanding of our dependencies on nature, lower our environmental footprint and respond to what our team members and customers expect of us.

Approach
Acting with integrity and honesty in all our dealings
The Wesfarmers Board has ultimate oversight of the Group's sustainability risks and opportunities, with management and divisional boards responsible for identifying and managing them day to day. Clear accountability, disciplined risk management and transparent reporting, including the Group's first climate report prepared under AASB S2 and independently assured, support sustainable outcomes across the Group.

Wesfarmers recognises that modern slavery is a complex global issue, and that we have an important role to support measures aimed at eliminating this challenge.
